I just got an Observer last week. I really like it so far for the most part. I have to admit, I have only read through the manual quickly so the answer to my question may be obvious to everyone but me.

I live at sea level and set the altimeter as such. If I understand correctly the altimeter works on pressure changes? As the normal barometeric pressure changes through the day my sea level reading varies by a couple hundred feet. Is this the way it is? Am I doing something wrong? Currently I am at -279ft. Please advise.....
