Has anyone experienced any consistent inaccuracies with the altitude readings on a
X6-HR? I am on my second watch at this point, have emailed and spoken directly to
Suunto USA and am still experiencing the same problems. I have set both the reference altitude and sea level pressures while at various small airports. When day hiking or climbing, it seems that the watch has a tendency to be off by about 100 ft. per 1000 vertical ft. ascended or descended. This discrepancy occurs even when constantly adjusting the watch to known altitude checkpoints along a route. I can't believe that this is the expected level of performance. I had an ancient Casio Pathfinder from the early 90's, granted it didn't have all the features or supposed resolution of a
Suunto, but that watch was consistently accurate to within about 60 feet and seldom required adjustments
