Question for Tearly - - any luck finding out if the alarm volume can be boosted?
I actually bought an Observer, a couple years ago... and returned it because the alarm level was so pitiful. I've been googling this watch every now and then ever since, figuring Suunto would be smart enough to fix this rather obvious flaw (it should be obvious by now, with all the references to it - - some of the comments I've seen are hilarious, by the way) - - but it seems they haven't listened!!!!
I find this very odd. They can make a watch that calculates altitude, barometric pressure, etc. etc., but it can't wake you up in the morning? (I'm not a deep sleeper, but with air-conditioning in the room, the so-called 'alarm' could hardly be heard).
Which is why I'm still wearing the el cheapo watch I bought 17 years ago.
Please let me know if you found out anything different.
Cheers,
mhcbc
