Hi Swede,

I have two of the Observers with 'stainless' straps and really like them. They add to the overall look of the watches. I have the white faces and with the case and strap all in stainless it all blends together very well. One of my Observers' came with the black polymer strap that I replaced with a stainless one. I know that the stainless part is really just pieces of stainless metal attached to a modified polymer strap but it is still worth it. Although I had the choice, I preferred the 'brighter' look of the stainless to the titanium watch and the weight difference is so marginal, you do not notice it. Besides, I like to feel the weight of a watch on my wrist. There was a bit of a problem with the stainless straps coming undone but it is easily fixed by slightly bending sideways, the two tiny lugs on the catch on the back of the strap that hold the two sliding plates in place. This allows the catch to close slightly more and grip the peg much more securely. Since I did this, neither of my straps have ever come undone accidently.

Good luck with your choice.....

Doug.........
