the pressure reference that you got (from the news etc) is the pressure calibrated to sea level so that you can compare pressure ratings for weather forecasting, It may not be the pressure reading that you have at altitude.
also make sure you are looking at the seal level pressure or the absolute pressure. I usually end up setting the reference altitude... |
