Suunto and they told me to buy the kit which i did since this is a common problem and the recommended solution. The stranged thing is that I never installed the kits and my watch is working "normally". After the last "reset", I just reset the time to the correct setting and never even took off the back cover. I just set it aside waiting for the kit. I wore the watch daily just to see if it would reset itself and it hasn't....yet. I'm not gonna put in the battery kit unless it goes screwy again. I also got the battery from radio shack and it cost more than the
Suunto battery kit.
