All a matter of personal preference. I'll say this - the band in the pic you have labeled "thin" is actually 'beefier' overall than the second band. Personally, I think the first band you attached (which is the Black Elastomer with Lugs band) looks great on the Black / Orange Core. If you go with this one and want the completely black look as pictured, you will need to use the black lugs from the orange band on the new black band.
