X3HR Problem

The heart rate monitor only transmits some of the time. I am following all the directions including wetting the electrodes and proper placement. Sometimes it works fine, then all of a sudden stop working, then starts again. Help please!

To me it sounds like it could be a defective transmitter belt. I would contact Suunto to get a replacement or get it fixed. You can reach them at 1-800-543-9124.

Thanks...

....for the reply. I emailed Suunto who told me that the battery may be weak in the transmitter. I'll try replacing it. Thanks.

No problem. Let us know how it works out or if you have any other problems.

I know this problem and I found out, that whenever my pulse is arrhythmic it says 00. Usually my pulse dances in 3/4 waltz, except when I climb mountains. When I put my X3_HR on at home, it says 00, after a while it shows the pulse. I had been to the doctor and he counted more extra systoles than normal systoles. But only when I am lazy with a pulse of 40 - 60.

Hey Alpenkalb, don't you have some SummitPost business to attend to?

Small world, isn't it?

Question Same problem

I am having the same problem with the HR transmit cutting in & out during my workout. It also randomly displays HRs in the 40-70s range in the middle of a run (and am just not in THAT kind of shape). Could this also be a weak battery (it's done this since I purchased the watch)? or is it just kinda part of being a lady- with the strap under my sports bra- is it picking up "bounce" instead?
I am curious what the story is before I invest in batteries. No one seems to sell them around here, so I'll have to pay shipping. And would this be the transmitter battery only, or both?
Thanks!

X3 Hr

Hi there,

You should not be getting that much regular interference (if you are using the standard transmitter) and you should not be receiving ANY interference with the ANT transmitter (the one for the T-series watches) If this has been an issue since day one, then it is possible it is a problem with the transmitter itself. Hope this helps!
