I find any belt will move during the swimming - I swim with Polar belt in the pool and see the errors as a result of me pushing off the wall or also during the swim itself. I mean the body movement during the swim can let some water get in between the belt and body. But I never lost large portion of the exercise. It is demonstrated as spikes or valleys on the HR curve.

During biking I have not seen any issues with any brand of the belt. Actually during biking the belt should be fairly in place as your torso does not move at all. All the movement should be in lower part of your body.

Is your belt still under warranty? If you see these issues it may be best to have the Suunto Service look at it.
