My practical experience with Suunto Core: Since I have Suunto Core (1,5 years), I was on 4 snorkeling tours, 3 times in Egypt for a week and once in Indonesia for 26 days. All the time, for several times a day I practice free diving up to 20 m deep and Core still works OK. I never pressed the buttons while underwater. The depth meter shows up to 12 m, and not 10, as mentioned in the operating manuals.
