Well, I have both. The original Vector from 8 yrs. back and recently aquired Core B/O and I have to say that they are the same size physically, but Core looks a tad smaller due to the black color.

As far as readability, my Vector (positive) is perfect and Core is so-so.
I can read Vector time fine in dark without glasses, but for Core I need glasses.
In bright sunlight (daylight) the readability on Core is fine and excellent on Vector.
If I had to decide on which is better and not letting the "new toy" factor of my Core give it any edge, I would have to say that readability goes to Vector, functions go to Core as well as the visual effect, but I could not select between the two, these are so different. Maybe it would be easier to decide if my Vector was negative.
