 How to remove frozen battery cover?
It's interesting that a battery kit with new cover, battery and "o" ring is available. That points to a major weakness in the design: the battery cover is difficult to remove without destroying it!
The first time I replaced the battery, before kits were commonly available, the cover came off with a little careful nudging, slightly deforming the slot. The second time the cover is thoroughly frozen; a large coin just stripped the shallow slot. Now what? |
