| I recently purchased a X9mi. Sync. the time with the GPS etc and later went to bed. Next morning the X9mi had lost 2-3 hours. What I changed was this. I had the GPS off but the sync option on. I turned off the sync option and the time is fine. Whenever I turn on the GPS I also turn on the time sync to make sure the time is correct. But afterwards I turn them both off. The problem hasn't happened since. Also, I have found playing around with the UTC helps. My time zone is recommended as being +12 on the net. I have found that the X9mi syncs correctly if I use +13.5. Hope that helps. ![]() Last edited by macb0i; 01-31-2008 at 04:38 PM. |

| Same thing happened to me.. just purchased the X9Mi and beginning to have doubts. When I received the watch I removed it from the box and began to charge it immediately. I set the time / date / UTC and everything seemed to be ok. The next day, after fully charging it, I took it out for a GPS test and left it outside to configure for about half an hour, after which I broght back into the house and uploaded the details to the track exporter. So after I had uploaded everything I placed the watch on the charger again, left the X9Mi on the table. The next morning I woke up and noticed the time had reset itself on both time zones set. However, the UTC and all other settings were fine. This is disturbing.. I do not want to be 50-?? miles into the depths of the unkown and everything resets on me.... for a 600$ watch none of this should even happen, should be more reliable than a standard watch and compass, but I never leave without the rudimentrary items. Can never trust tech. I love the features, but if this is a continueous issue with fiddleing with the watch it's not worth it... another thing that upsets me is the need to adjust the altimeter and having to place a "referance" .... my HighGear adjusted, out of the box, altitude and doesn't need configuration. |
