Received an X9mi from my son for father's day. He is active duty military (special forces) and the watch was issued to him. He had two, gave me one. The second day I wore it, I noticed that the faceplate had separated from the watch body. I thought s*&t! What the ****? Called Suunto support. Waited two weeks for them to send me another one. It arrives, and lo and behold, this one won't even stay on the watch body. It's held in place by two itty bitty tabs on either side of the watch body. Something is out of tolerance because either one side or the other, not both, stay on. After taking it apart and examining under a loupe I've come to this conclusion. Poor design + cheap materials = junk! I talked to my son about it. He said "Yeah, that's why none of us use them. They're fragile." I can't imagine an operator in the field or even an outdoorsman depending on one of these. Stick with a G shock and a GPS!!! |

| mine popped off recently. looks like one of the tiny plastic lugs on each side had broken. looks like it will be easy to glue back, or just get a new bezel from Suunto... |
