11th. hour help needed-X9

After reading the posts so far I am at a bit of a quandry. I have the chance to get the X9 at 20% discount this thursday, June 23rd. (one day special sale). I have had an Avocet Vertech Pilot in the past but managed to destroy it! One of the problems was that the alti-meter was associated with the barometric pressure and the altitude at my place varied between Minus 30 metres and plus 150 metres depending on the weather!! It seems this one is no different.

Some of the posts are quite old and I was hoping some of you experienced users out there could update some of the info before I lash out and get one, especially ANDYWGG and his experiencies.

I am based in Adelaide, South Australia.
