I have a Suunto Advisor. I really enjoy the watch and it has worked great so far except for one thing - the altimeter seems to give me the wrong reading for meters descended? I have now done several tours and gone up and come down exactly the same way, however the meters ascended are 200-300 meters higher than the meters descended? This is impossible since I touk the exact same route down... Is there something I have set up wrong?

I have a Suunto D6 diving watch. The elastomer strap got broken in less than a year. Now I have it replace since it is under warranty. The problem now is the strap is starting to get broken again. When I check the price on the Elastomer type it is around $80 plus shipment and if you opt to buy a stainless it cost $223. The straps are way to expensive it is like buying a new watch. If you plan to buy Suunto watch I suggest that you buy dive computers that has good price on maintenance accessories. Right now I only use a string on my Suunto D6 just to use it but would not buy there unreasonable price on their strap. And also the communication cable's price is way to expensive, it cost $90 just for it.
