Altimax

I own an altimax that I use for skiing and have been noticing the temp. has been off.For example the mountain reading was approx. 29-30F and my watch reading was 36F.I wear it over my jacket so its exposed to the elements. Is this normal?Anyway to reset it?If anybody has or had this problem please let me know.
