Which one's correct?

The tech specs for the Core say the buttons work underwater...however, I was looking at the Core's Manual and it specifically says that buttons should not be pushed underwater. Which one is correct?

Also, a side question...is the Core exactly the same size as the Vector?

Thanks.

Ah! Thanks for the heads-up. As with most Suunto wristops (except for the dive computers, natch), the Core is water resistant, but buttons should NOT be pushed underwater. I have updated the specs on the Core page you referenced.

Meanwhile, I don't have Vector dimensions in front of me at the moment, but the impression is of the Core being thinner in profile (thickness) and perhaps a bit bigger in diameter.

Should NOT be pushed underwater??

Major problem. It is advertised all over the NET that the buttons can be pushed underwater. It doesn't make sense not to be able to push them. I can't believe a watch in 2007 that cost this much and that is "water resistant" can't have the buttons pushed underwater. This is false advertising....isn't it?

Can wet get an answer from the manufacturer?
