Altitude vs Pressure

Hello everyone!. I had a suunto B/Y, ive noticed when the pressure on baro go up, from 1006 hpa to 1009, the altitude increments. its ok? before the core i had an altimax, and when the pressure indicate 700 mbar on an airplane ( normal 1020 ), the altimeter shows 3100 m.
Less pression, more altitude. On the core, seem to be wrong.

I'm not sure how well the core will work on commercial aircraft. The core read altitude based upon atmospheric pressure and the cabins in commercial a/c are pressurized for comfort. So, it probably won't get an accurate reading.
