Core not working

Hi!
I just got my new Core Alu brown watch. When I took it out from the box I accidentally pushed a button (I don't remember which one was it) and then the watch was displaying the word "horizontal" (I guess). Then I pushed the light button, and the watch simply just turned off. Now it is non-responsive to any buttonpush.
I have searched through the forum for any issues with the battery and I found several topics. Maybe mine has battery issues too, but strange thing, I didn't see any draining battery sign on the watch before it has turned off.
Have anybody experienced such problems? I think tomorrow I'll try to get a CR 2032 battery somewhere, hoping that it will solve the problems.
One more thing, my watch was turned on when I got it, does it have any affection to the battery? (there was 3 weeks between the date of the order and date of delivery)
Thanks!

Possible fix

Take battery out and wait for 10-15 seconds, re-insert battery,
and hopefully the clock has restarted itself.

Alu brown core service menu

I've just received my new alu/brown core and had the same problem (after pushing light button it turned off). After replacing the battery (!!!) the display shows some service menu (version, contrast, pressure, display, buzzer, backlight, eeprom, magfield, compass). I just can not quit from this menu. The version looks old - sw 1.0.1, hw 3-. What sould I do? Please help.
It is a brand new watch in original box!!
