| X6 2 years old when I bought it Hi guys, I'm new to this forum having just bought my first Suunto (an X6) earlier this week. When I bought the watch (here in Melboune, Aus), the first thing I noticed was that the battery was already dead. I found out how to check the age of the watch from the serial number, and discovered it was made around August/September 2005. No wonder the battery was dead. What I'm wondering is, have I got stuck with something old and outdated? Have there been any firmware upgrades for the X6 in the last two years? I've just been reading a post about the cross being outside the central square when calibrating the compass, and remembered that mine does the same. I have to tilt it over to the right to get the cross in the middle. As I only bought it less than a week ago, should I just take it back and forget about the whole thing? Thanks, Paul Last edited by paul7876; 04-29-2007 at 02:39 AM. |

| Hi, Sorry for the delay, I haven't checked these forums for a while. The first digit of the serial number is the year it was made eg 5 = 2005. The next two digits are the week in the year. Check the FAQ on the website, and search on 'serial number'. |
