New Observer - already malfunction

Hello all! I just received my Observer TT - started to program it and find that the tiny Fahrenheit symbol does not light up!!!! Aaaaaargh!!! Frustration! I now have to wait until Monday to see if I can send this one back for an exchange - and avoid paying duty to cross the border again!

Is this just a lemon - or have you guys seen alot of other problems with the observer ? I am very disappointed considering how much this thing cost!!! I hope I won't have to pay for shipping

Also - do you think that the problem could be restricted to the watch face backlighting? - or could it be a sign that there is a problem with the electronic inner workings? I am very disappointed with Suunto's quality assurance at this point and am paranoid that this may be just the tip-of-the-iceberg.

If you purchased the watch from us (suuntowatches.com) you can return it if within 30 days of purchase. If you purchased elsewhere, you'll need to contact that dealer. Either way, the watch is under warranty. Sorry to hear about your troubles - we sell quite a few Suuntos and problems are relatively rare. You might try contacting Suunto first for technical assistance: 1 800 543 9124.
