Ski Watch

I am extremely confused and could use some assistance. I'm looking for a watch to use only for downhill skiing that can relatively simply measure the total amount of vertical skied in one day, as well as the number of runs. I don't need any additional bells and whistles, as I tend to overbuy and then not use half the functions.

From what I've read on the Suunto web site, it appears that the Altimax and S-Lander have identical functions, but different exteriors. It is unclear if these two watches can easily log total vertical skied. Then I saw the S-6, but when I do some internet searches, a few web sites indicate that this model is out of stock and is no longer available from the manufacturer. Would this mean that the S-6 is being phased out? I have found stores with availability, but wonder if this model is being ended.

I tried calling Suunto, but hold times seem to be excessive. Many thanks

We have some of the S6 in stock.. To the best of my knowledge it is still a current model.. It is still currently being offered by Suunto to its dealers to purchase for their own personal use... so..

You can get one here: Suunto S6 @ Sun and Ski Sports - FREE SHIPPING
