Smile what Suunto watch to buy ?

Hi

I need first of all, a heartrate monitor watch, the rest of the features are less important, what do you have to suggest to me ?
I am currently using a M-52 Polar watch and wish to have more features.

If you want a Altimeter/HR combo, I'd recommend the X6HR ($429) which is supposed to be released in August. This Suunto Wristop model has a PC downloadable interface, menu driven operation like a cell phone, mineral crystal and a clinometer. The Advzizor ($299) is also an Altimeter/HR combo but doesn't have the above features. The Metron is ($389) an Aluminum/Mineral Crystal/Leather strap version of the Advizor. I don't recommend the Metron if you plan on wearing this Suunto Wristop model in water. The leather strap will dry out and have a tendency to smell from getting wet. However, the Metron might be considered the most fashionable model of the three. I hope this helps in your decision making.

I believe I will go with the X6HR as it appears to be amoung a new generation of Suunto watches. Should the X6HR operate correctly if I use my original Polar M52 belt ?

Just one comment about the SAM Interface, I disagree that the watch be provided without a USB adapter, 19$ mouses are sold with a USB adapter.

The X6HR should work with your original Polar M52 if it's not a digitally coded belt. My recollection on the Advizor was that it would work with a portion of the Polar digitally coded belts, but not all. I wish I had a more definative answer for you. I also wish the X6 & X6HR included a USB cable or adapter too. I had to buy a Keyspan Serial-to-USB adapter to use the SAM software with my X6.
