Question Observer/X6 sizes & Vector problem

Hello...

Question 1) I have a Vector (about 4 years old) where the leveling bubble has dissapeared (it appears to have expanded to fill its container). Do I try to find a local repair shop or do I contact Suunto? (An 800 number would be great!)

Question 2) I like the Vector but want a watch that I can wear anytime -- the Vector is too big. Can you give me the size comparisons of all three (Vector, X6, and Observer) pieces? I saw a picture in another thread and it appeared that the X6 was just as big or even bigger than the Vector (even though the dimesions for the Vector I own are 2"x2" and the X6 is reported as 1.3"x1.3")! While I would prefer the features of the X6 over the Observer, I don't want the bulk. Any specs or pics would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Sizes

The bubble expanding? Thats really strange.

Give Suunto a call @

The Observer is a little sleeker. But does have the same dimensions as the X6.

Measuring 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches (or 44 x 44 x 13 mm)
The Vector 2 x 2 x .67inches (or 52 x 52 x 17 mm)

Hope this helps

Thanks Trevor,

Regarding the Vector problem, a more accurate statement would be that the liquid evaporated. I found a Google post referencing the same problem -- I'll give SuuntoUSA a call tomorrow.

Do you folks have any more info in regard to the N series? Specifically, it's size and "sleekness" factor? I'm thinking the 6 series is too big for everyday wear and would wait for the N series if it's going to work. Another question regarding the N series: I'm assuming that there would be fees attached to downloading info to the watch, correct? Has there been any determination what those fees would be?

I found a good article discussing SPOT technology.

Thanks for that link, Trevor. Very interesting to see:

Our Suunto "n" series will be more appealing to a broader audience, including women, because we can make them smaller without sacrificing readability.
So it looks like I'll have to wait until the Fall to make my decision.
Thanks for your help!
