| I am in the market for a dive computer. After asking around and searching other forums the concensus seems to be that the Suunto brand computers are overly cautious on dive times (sometimes by 20-30 mins). One master diver informed me that he wore two computers on a two-dive day, the Cobra and Oceanic Pro Plus 2.0, and on the second dive the Cobra said he had only 24min TBT at 37ft and the PP2 said he had over 50min. He was the only one in the dive team of six that was wearing a Suunto. The rest of the team also showed around 50min on other various brands. If I am going to buy a dive computer I want to ensure that it allows me to take advantage of my dive times available but also be safe. Is the Suunto brand overly cautious with the RGBM use? |
