Pazreal,
Sorry about the delayed response, I just saw this message.
I sent my Core back and got a newer one in return. The battery died the second day, and when I pulled the battery out it was very scratched and looked heavily used. I finally got a Swiss Renata battery from Radio Shack that I feel was fresh. Ridiculous $5.00 cost, next time I'll buy bulk on the Internet.
Back to the reset. What I'm finding is the watch resets when I take my jacket off, and I feel it's from the static generated from my arm sliding through the sleeve. I have been able to reproduce it several times now. I live in Colorado, which is very dry right this time of year, and when I slide my arm out, I feel the hairs on my arm slightly raised. When that happens, my Core resets. If my Core is resting on my desk, or if I wear it without taking off/putting on my jacket it's fine.
Different levels of static could cause a variety of problems, including display malfunctions, and even complete watch failures. This may be at the root of most the Core problems.

Re: the Core lockup issue you describe in the All Core Problem thread. Have you spoken with Suunto about it? Have they offered any relief? I have the same problem and it has happened at very inopportune moments (i.e. backcountry).
