| altimeter I just got an Observer last week. I really like it so far for the most part. I have to admit, I have only read through the manual quickly so the answer to my question may be obvious to everyone but me. I live at sea level and set the altimeter as such. If I understand correctly the altimeter works on pressure changes? As the normal barometeric pressure changes through the day my sea level reading varies by a couple hundred feet. Is this the way it is? Am I doing something wrong? Currently I am at -279ft. Please advise.....      |

| Weather changes will affect your Altimeter reading. All Altimeter sensors can not tell if a barometeric changes is due to weather altitude gain/loss. This is why you have to reference your Altimter. Please also remember that Sea Level changes due to the tides. The combination of these two items can affect your Altimeter reading.
