Cant move files from watch.

All:
i have a suunto X6, and i cant seem to move the files from my watch.
Im using an RS232 serial to usb converter (with installed software), but still cant get anything over. It says "serial transfer" on my watch, but then i get that cannot connect to wristop."
its not very much fun at all.

Ideas? Comments?
Ive been on hold with suunto tech support for 30 mins and counting...

Cant Move Files....

I have had on occasion had trouble getting my computer to recognize my watch even though my watch said it was connected.

I have been successful in connecting my watch by going into the drop down menu and connecting it manually...usually you only have to do it this way the first time, but I find that its search works better from the drop down menu.

Hope this helps....

still no luck here :(

thanks for the feedback on this one. i'm having the same problem too but cannot find the drop down menu you're talking about. the SAM software does not seem to have any drop-down menu options and no menus work when i have the watch connected.

why doesn't Suunto make a USB connector instead of the serial port connector? i cannot find a single computer under my roof with a serial port!

sorry for venting

Vik

They do have a USB connector but it does not solve problems of transferring data.

Not all data from x6 downloaded to activity manager

I just downloaded data from today's hike onto my activity manager, but only a portion of it was visible in the manager. It is there on the wristop; an 8 hour log in chrono with altitude data from 7.15 until 3.15, but when I look at the log in my activity manager it only has data up until 11.30. Can anybody help please? I want to have the graph of altitude for my students to see.

Thanks
Cheers
gooders
