The logbook history AND each log can be cleared. The premise is to download and lable these logs on your PC before erasing them. Only Suunto USA and Suunto Finland's factory service can calibrate the sensor. Each hiking log can be one week long. The X6 will store a maximum of twenty hiking logs before they need to be erased. I believe the maximum capacity of a chrono log(s) is a total of 33 hrs. before they need to be erased. AltimterGuy

history How is the logbook history cleared? I have looked and looked, but do not see a way to do it. The logbooks themselves can easily be cleared, yes, but I don't think the history can. If you know how, please tell me. . .

You bring up a good point that I just realized because of your thread. I guess Suunto has figured that you can delete the logbook history data on your PC. So, they have made it so that on the Wristop that "The logbook history contains the cumulative values of ascents and descents and the highest point of all logbooks (hiking and chrono) during the X6 lifetime" according to the owners manual. They have made the logbook history mode so that it can not cleared or reset like the total miles of an odometer on a car. This is a great feature if you have climbed one of the world's major mountains and want to show your friend's that you summited that peak with proof in the logbook history mode. You can't accidently erase this important data. All other Suunto Wristop models would erase this highest point when the logbook history was cleared. AltimterGuy
