The altitude, vertical speed, compass bearing and barometric pressure are topics of interest for everyone who wants to enjoy the outdoor experience to the maximum. All these features and many others are controlled with Suunto X6’s menu-based user interface familiar from mobile phones. It is easy to learn and fun to use.
The chronometer records the altitude profile and the logbook keeps track of how many hills the user has ascended during the day and tells the vertical sum of them. This information can be checked instantly and the profile can be seen on the wrist display or later on a PC.
The barometer tracks the weather conditions, which helps to choose the right gear for the day. It includes a storm alarm function and a thermometer. The compass works as a safety device in the mountains and also helps orientating to a new environment.

Suunto Activity Manager -software links Suunto X6 to a PC and makes it easy to visualise for example hiking profiles and to analyse training data. It offers an exciting view on recorded data for all cross sports enthusiasts. It is a great tool for making own hiking reports by combining the visualised profiles with photos.
