How to change the strap on x6hr and x6

Look at the bottom of the watch. You will see two slots where the band meets the watch body. Take a small jeweler's screwdriver and inset it into any of the slots. Try to catch the ridge in the pin. Move the ridge towards the center of the band. The strap should snap off. To get it back on, insert one end into the hole and compress the other end of the pin and snap it back in. It is easy to get off, and a bit harder to get back on.

strap replacement

The first thing to break on my x6 was the strap loop (I don't know the technical name). Then the strap itself broke at the hole I tightened it to. I sent it in to be refurbished for $70. The process is quite streamlined. I received it back in a few weeks. The olive drab was discontinued and no longer stocked so I got a black one back. That's cool with me, it's like getting a new watch.
What I really wanted to do was upgrade to the titanium version, but that concept seemed to elude the customer service gal.

This time I wear my watch one notch looser than I did the last time. That puts zero stress on the band!

Does anyone know how to go about getting the titanium upgrade? I am certain that it was a version avail. at the time I bought mine. It was a hundo extra, and I regret not getting it in the first place.
