X6-HR Display Fault

Please can anyone help!!

My X6HR has just developed dark lines on all screens (See attached photo). I've tried replacing the battery, but there was no improvement. I have seen other similar threads in this forum, but not a solution. One interesting thing I've noticed is that when I erase the memory and replace the battery the watch displays "DEFRAG OF MEMORY" for about 10 seconds without any of the dark pixels on the screen. It then displays the time showing the dark screen. I would be grateful if anyone can help. Thanks.

This has happened to me several times. I returned it to Suunto and they replaced it. Get an RMA before sending it in. Send it in with TRACKING.

Many thanks for your reply Roadcoach.

I was afraid that that was going to be the suggestion. My watch is outside the warranty, so it could get expensive.

call them up and be firm that this should not be happening

See my comments under "tale of woe" about 15 posts down in this forum.
If they do not offer to do it for free or low cost, claim that this is a systemic problem with these watches and the warranty period should not really apply.
Point out that you will leave positive feedback on the Suunto watches if they can take care of you properly.
