X6-HR, HR functions

Hi,

At the moment I'm able to use a Polar M52 HR watch from a friend of mine... A very fine HRmonitor (watch). Do you know where I can find more information on the functions of the HR function which is in the X6-HR? Or is the HR function within the X6-HR the same as one of the Polar watches, so I can get more information on the HR monitor from their site ?

Regards,
Dan.

The info we have on the x6-hr is contained at:

http://www.suuntowatches.com/x6-hr.htm

The rumor is that Suunto is no longer using branded Polar technology belts, but also that the coding is the same as the older style Polor belts (meaning with out the one to one link from watch to belt. In other words, you could use this watch with any non coded polar belt). We'll have more info as it becomes available, but I would not rely upon Polar info to determine functions of the Suunto X6-HR

There is a strong chance that the X6HR will work with most coded Polar Belts. You will be able to set upper and lower HR limits. It will not show calorie or watts consumption. The X6HR will show your HR, elevation, Asc./Dsc rate graphically over periods of time with the Chrono log on your PC. Like the X6 & S6, the power of this product is with the combined use of your PC. You can the start up &/or share your data within the http://www.suuntosports.com/ communities.
