Suunto Activity Manager

The S6 sounds very interesting.
Right now we are using a HAC4 with interface to document our skiing days. Actually the software is very "puristic".
Is there already additional information available about the "Suunto Activity Manager" Software?
Will there be a difference between the 6-series and the 9-series watches?

Not much else to report yet, but we know the downloading will record all data and allow charting and graphing. You will also be able to share and compare your info on the web at http://www.suuntosports.com. It should get pretty interesting b/c you will be able to 'virtually' compete with other and share your adventures.

Do you already know
- which data will be recorded (choices?)
- in what intervalls (choices?)
- for how many hours (depending on the intervalls)?

This would be interesting for the decision if you have to take your laptop with you for a longer vacation.

As of right now, we know you will be able to graph your vertical data (elevation, total ascent & total Descent)for either a log day, week, month or year. You will also be able to create your own custom graphs depending on the data you choose. The X6HR will take it to another level by adding heart rate readings with your elevation & vertical feet.

Question X-6 computer compatibility

Will the X-6 be able to connect to a Mac, I don't have a PC. How will the Series 6 watches connect to the PC (USB, etc.). Even better would be if Suunto produce some Palm software, any word on that?

As of right now, the computer link is 9 pin serial. We have requested USB, and informed Suunto that USB is really the U.S. Standard, and serial is on its way out, if not totally out.

As far as I know, Mac is also not available as of yet, nor do I know of what the plans are for the Mac, but we'll keep you updated.
