One of my
X6HR shows a black face and rather than send it in to have it fixed I decided to buy another one. I took the broken one apart. Very easy to do actually. Just take the
straps off to make it easier to handle and unscrew the 4 screws on the back. When you pop off the back you will find the actual watch module has 4 little springs. 3 are the same size and they fit over the three piins that permit you to sync the watch to your computer. The forth spring goes into a recess and makes contact with the back plate which has some metal pieces on it. There is a flexible connector from the watch to the module that senses pressure. If you slip out the the plastic shim holding the pressure sensor in place you can pry it out of the round hole where it sits. It is squeezed in place and has a round waterproof gasket. There is one continuous black gasket that is around the inside of the watch -- sort of what you would expect. There does not appear to be any s/n on the watch parts inside, so the entire s/n info seems to be reside on the outside case. I reassembled the watch and it works as before (black face) and seems to continue to be waterproof. I am including a picture, but do not have high hopes that it will be approved.
