| I too have had this same question... Brad, just to be more clear: with this watch I can take lap times while running on track. But after I've done my ten laps... I can not review the lap times anymore, right? But I can review the altitude of the whole run (which is the same all the time on track) afterwards with my computer - but not the lap times. So the only way to get the lap times is to give the watch to somebody else who stands by the track side and has a notepad where he/she will write the lap times in those 3 seconds time. (Or have a recorder with me while running and then dictating the lap times there during each lap )Maybe you should contact Suunto and get them to make this small change in the software. In the mean time, at least I will pass on the X6 and look for other sports watches that do record the lap times for later review. (Mind you, that this feature is not the reason why I'd be getting a Suunto, but rather this is a must to have feature - and if watch lacks this, then it becomes a reason why not to buy it even though it has many good features.) | I thought so too! But after reading what Brad wrote and what was said in the manual which I downloaded... I think there is no way to review the lap times afterward (at least not just with the watch). Amazingly I can apparently review other info, but not the times Or maybe somebody who actually has the watch can correct me (and the manual)... Brad? Harri |

| Dear Harri, I have the X6 HR for 2 months now and it shows all ínformations about lap and split times in the built in memory. After studying the X6 manual (and a demo available at www.suunto.com) I am pretty sure it is the same with the X6 memory. I can recommend the x6 hr very much, it has everything and can everything I wished, it works without fault and you don't need a computer to see most of the informations provided. A fantastic instrument. |

| gbsbg, so on page 47 in manual where it says: "For saved lap times, the right side displays lap and split numbers" they actually mean lap and split times (numbers=times), or? I imagine that the lap times would be viewable by viewing the memory files. On page 46 they describe all the general information about the memory file. On the next page they describe what is on each of the 3 rows. (I won't repeat the manual here.) Unless the quote I wrote above means lap times, there is nowhere any mention about lap times - and all other display fields are filled with various information. No matter how many times I read this, I just can not see the lap times mantioned anywhere. So, I believe you. But I'd also like to hear how the lap times are displayed after the event with the watch only? Is this the place and is manual little bit off or uncomplete at this point? Please clarify. Harri |

| You can always just call SuuntoUSA, as we are mearly a dealer, you may want to call tech support at 800-547-0244. I see what your talking about but don't have an answer, only the watch on my wrist to go off of, and yes it has lap times.

| gbsbg, I actually downloaded the manual for X6-HR. I do not know if it's different, but at least the manual is. On page 54 the same this that I quoted above for X6 is now: "For recorded lap times, the right side displays texts “lap” and “split” and the corresponding lap and split time numbers." So, it just might be that X6 and X6-HR is different in this. Brad, I know you are not Suunto but a dealer. I know that very well as Suunto is a Finnish company. But you have a forum where many people who possibly have the watch come to, and they might be able to help us here. (It seems that I'm not the only one who is wondering about this.) And Brad, as you said: "only the watch on my wrist to go off of"... why not take some lap times with your X6 (you must have a demo watch at least) and try to find the times from the watch? I even gave you the page number in my previous post where I think the stuff is located in the manual (PDF). And then please report back if you can actually find the lap times. Should not take you more than 5 minutes in any case! Oh, I do wish that Suunto would have their own forum, but since you are the main forum for Suunto watches, I hoped you could help me. Besides, this should not really be a hard question specially if you have the watch? And as a dealer, don't you think this is one of the simpler questions... I mean the watch can record lot's of advanced stuff about weather and altitude... but how is the stop watch, what about the lap times? That basics wouldn't you say? Harri |

| Harri, Suunto actually has it's own forum, look under: "http://www.suunto.com/pls/suunto" and choose "Suunto Sport". There you can post your questions and they should be able to answer them. You could also download the demo for the X6 - it might answer your questions. In the manual they mean times when they write numbers. With my X6HR it works the following way: I choose memory, then HR or altitude (there is a difference to the X6 because the HR takes heart rates also but the principle should be the same) and see a graph with numbers. It tells me times, lape times, split times by clicking through the memory. It can store a nearly unlimited amount of split and lap times. As I told you before the demo shows that the x6 is able to provide you with all your informations without the need of a computer. gbsbg |
