Suunto X6-HR

I called Suunto USA yesterday (3/21) and they told me that the the X6-HR would be released in 3 weeks. Looking at the other threads here though, it looks as though you are saying it will be June at the earliest. Did Suunto move the release date up, or was the person I talked to just mistaken?

Also, I am currently trying to decide between the Advizor and the X6-HR and I have a question. The one thing I really like about the Advizor is that it is easy to replace the strap, bezel, etc. should I mess them up during a race. Will Suunto release straps that are user replaceable? Is the bezel on the X6-HR even replaceable at all or is it part of the main casing?

The X6HR should be out by 5/02. The X6HR has a fixed bezel and a unique strap. You probably can use aftemarket straps as it looks like it uses regular sized spring pin. However they will not look as nice as the one that comes with this Wristop. Suunto USA can repair scratched/worn units by replacing the crystal, Wristop body, etc. for a nominal fee. The X6HR has a mineral crystal, whereas the Advizor is acrylic. The mineral crystal will not sctratch as easily.
