Question X6 PC Adapter

If I have a look at the pictures, it seems that the "PC Adapter"
is some kind of microphone - similar to the "sonic link" Polar is using.

1) is it the case that suunto is using the normal loudspeaker for data transmission?

2) if yes, what about using a different microphone, e.g. the build in one of my laptop?

The PC adapter clips onto the Wristop. The hardwire cable connects to the serial port of your PC.

X6 PC Adapter

Yes, that's what you can see on one of the pictures.
On another picture you can see the wristop from the side where the adapter clips on and it looks like the loudspeaker (or is it the pressure/temperature sensor?).
I was just wondering how the PC-Adapter looks like without the watch (e.g. is there a small microphone inside or how is data transmitted.

There is no speaker or microphone. It connects to the PC as stated above.

Pete, you are correct, the other sensor is the opening to the altimeter / barometer sensor.
