Altimeter Not accurate

I recently purchased the X-lander Mil edt. Has any one else noticed on this model or any other model x-lander that the altimeter is not very accurate. I have set the ref alt. for my home twice and i will leave it on my desk and when i wake up there could a change of up to 50m. I called suunto and they explained that this could be caused by a change in the baro pressure, and that the ref alt should be reset at the beginning of every activity. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I dont know what i was expecting from a watch, but for the price i was expecting a whole lot more.

I have the same "problem". As with any altimeter, it is sensitive to barometric pressure changes. I have to reset mine to known altitudes on a regular basis. Having said that, when I reset it to a known altitude, it remains fairly accurate for a day or so. It's just something you'll have to get used to. Your X Lander isn't malfunctioning, it's just the nature of some altimeters that rely on barometric pressure changes. Hope that helps.

Just like Altimeters used in every airplane, they are always set and reset constantly to control for baro pressure.
