Vector log book math example

Please, look in the attachement and try to explain me how the vector calculates the cumulative ascent and descent information in the log book because I'm confused.

However the Vector recordes the total vertical feet you have ascended and/or descended. Suunto watches messure your vertical feet by barometric pressure.
