| Hello, My name is Alex Stoicia, I'm from Romania and I own a Suunto Vector. I have some doubts about my Vector's Log Book maths so I propose you a little experiment to see if all Vector workes in the same way, or just mine is defective. So: 1. Set your Vector to make measurments every minute. 2. Record a log book of about 10 minutes. In this 10 minutes go up about 20m and down, and then again up and down to have some altitude changes. 3. After that stop the Log and write down the results of the log book. Now: 4.In "ALTI" mode, hold the "SELECT" button down for 3 sec. while 'LO xx' is flashing and the watch will displays 'bEG'. Now, using "+" and "-" you can actually go through the individual log just recorded and look at each recording interval values. Please write down all the values recorded; for a Log of 10 minutes there will be 10 sets of data (altitude and ascent / descent rates). Please make yourseves the sum of total ascent meters and total descent meters (cumulative) and tell me if you find exactly the same result as VECTOR. I never get exactly the same result and I wonder why. I want to se if all the Vector workes in the same way or just mine is out of order. Please help me. If you make this experiment post your results as a reply at this post. With this little experiment, you have the chance to verify your Vector. Thank you very much, Alex Stoicia Last edited by salex; 11-21-2002 at 09:29 AM. |
