| Vector swimming OK for 30m rating??? Every other watch that I've seen with a 30m WR rating states that you shouldn't go swimming with it. Are the Vectors OK for swimming up to about 15 feet? I know you shouldn't push the buttons but I love to swim and always forget to take a watch off before doing so. Thanks! -Kev |

| Swim! It's totally fine up to 30m/100ft. But hey, it's not a dive unit. You already have the sense required not to press the buttons. After that, just make sure you change out the battery lid with a fresh one every year or so, or every time you change your battery. The O-ring/gasket is integrated into the little disc of the battery lid, and this is what keeps your watch water-resistant. If it's dried out and cracked, this compromises the seal. Also, don't open the chamber unless you need to - this could stretch the o-ring. Conveniently enough, the Suunto battery replacement kits come with a fresh battery and battery lid/oring combination. Take care of your Vector and it will last a long time! |
