| I purchased a Core from HDOSports last August. Finally, it arrived in October. After wearing the watch for only two weeks, I wake up one morning to find the display blank. I should mention that you shouldn't depend upon the alarm in any environment with even a slight background noise. Nor should you depend on it to wake you (or maybe I'm just getting old). So, I contacted Suunto and they issued an RMA. A few weeks later I received a response that I my core would be replaced. That was the end of October. I've called and emailed several times. Each time I'm told there is a large back order but I should receive my replacement in a couple weeks. It's now the second half of January and still no watch! ![]() What's going on? A priority for any business should be to support its current customers. Several dealers have received their orders for the core since. |

| Hi Rglide I had the same problem i slept in my watch and in the morning the screen was blank. Found that it was temp related when ever it got warm it would turn itself off. This happened at around 30 degrees c. I had only worn it for two days from brand new. I sent it back to suunto service centre in Finland and it was away for a week. When it was delivered back it went wrong again with the same problem within 25 mins. I sent it back the next day and along with a very sturn email detailing my disgust and frustration. They sent me a brand new watch out as soon as they recieved my watch. This was only last week so not sure about the back log otherwise i would be in the same situation maybe they are blaggin you some what. Seriously suggest sending an email demanding a brand new watch etc. I sent it to both the helpdesk and the service centre. Helpdesk@suuntosports.com and servicerequest@suunto.com. | Hello Martin, I just received a watch back, three days after my postings. Coincidence? Anyway,they sent me the Core light black, which i actually like much better since the display is much easier to read. Now, three days later, so far so good. I've been very happy with the Mosquito, Gecko, and Viper computers that I've been using for four years now. I hope my new Core goes as well. |
