Thumbs down Unbelievably Bad warranty Servce. No more Suunto For Me

Hello, I bought the BlackOrange Core a few months back and I liked the watch a lot. Unfortunately after a couple of months the watch would use up a new battery in about 2 days. I sent it in to be repaired using the Suunto Warranty Service, this was around the end of June. I have called a few times asking about my watch and it was never ready or could not be located. 2 weeks ago I was told to expect delivery of a brand new one on the Friday just passed. I was supposed to be delighted that I was getting a new one when the one I sent them was barely 2 months old. Well, Friday came and no watch arrived. I called again today and was told that they would be sending me a new one on SEPTEMBER 11th as they were back ordered (whatever that means), even though my local Sport Chalet, REI and Dicks Sporting Goods have them on the shelf. If I had known that it would take forever to have a warranty repair (One good reason I bought it was because they backed up their product with a good warranty) I would have asked for a refund. I should have just taken it back to the place I bought it as soon as I sensed any defect and got a refund. This warranty service is a joke. I spent close to $350 for the watch and for a high dollar item I am getting a low dollar service. This will be my last Suunto product. Their warranty service is GARBAGE.
I am currently using a 10 year old Casio which has only ever needed a battery change every year or 2.

All evidence to the contrary!!

As much as I agree about the quality of the Core, which is questionable at best, there Suunto Warranty Servise is second to none..at least from my perspective. I fill out the online warranty request, printed all the necessary shipping papers (fool-proofed), call DHL 10 min later and confirmed that I was in there system and told them when to pick up the watch. One week later, a brand new watch arrived at my desk.
So...that really great!!!
