jumping altitude / wrong baro-alti-reference-ratio

Hello!

Have found lot's of core-problems in this forum - but I think mine is different.

My core light green is roundabout half a year old (SN: 916861xxx).
Alti and baro worked well - in all modes (auto/bari/alto).
Since one week, the values are absurd.

1: When using the alit-mode, altitude is jumping from 3 to 9 to 27 to 36 to 16 to 11 to 2 to 15 to -6 etc. meters within seconds - this also happens in other heigts like 400 or 1300 meters.

2: In bari-mode, pressure-graph is up and downs-

3: In auto-mode the core stays in alti-mode (because of the perpetual changing of altitude-valus).

4: When calibrating heigh to e.g. 20 meters, there should be a pressure of 1016 hPa (says my Vantage pro2 weather-station - air pressure reduced to sea level ). My core tells me 950 hPa.

So there seems to be a serious problem with the basic sensor-calibration for alti/bari or the sensor is defect.

Any ideas or comments?

Thanks
Manfred

Hi!

Now I've sent my core light green to suunto - yesterday it was received by them.

When filling out the "REPAIR - SERVICE REQUEST" I got the message: Suunto core light green" is currently out of stock. Repairs will take longer then 7 working days....

I'll keep you posted.

Manfred

Yesterday I got a new Core light green. They wrote the old one was broken.

Hopefully the new one will last longer

The suunto support told me in an e-mail: "The newest Cores have been tested thoroughly and do not have problems. "
