Suunto repairs all its watches 2 and a half years after its manufactured, or 2 years after its sold. Also if the problem is one that
Suunto admits is basicaly there problem they have repaired watches beyond the origional warranty. For example I've had a customer send an old
Suunto X6 to be repaired from 2002, which was 4 years past origional warranty yet it still got repaired under warranty as they found that the problem was a proven to be caused by an old design defect in the unit. The way you can work out if your device is still under warranty is either if you have a receipt, or then the devices serial number. For example 80100001 would probibly be the first watch made in 2008

the first number is the year of manufacture, and the 2nd and 3rd is the week of manufacture. The last 5 are just serial numbers. So the way I figure it this watch would still be under warranty untill week 26 of 2010. Aslong as its sent before then.
So you should still be well within warranty. All the problems you've described, I'd say you'd get a new watch instantly. Atleast thats the treatment my customers get here in Finland.
*Edit* Oh! Forgot to mention, that as far as I know all European
Suunto repairs are done in Finland these days. However
Suunto offers cheaper prices to registerd
Suunto retailers, however the retailer is going to slap on a service fee for handling the buisness. So if the device was bought from a snoby expensive rop off store, it might be more expensive to repair through a retailer. However more honest shops tend to generaly be cheaper

Still this can be cheaper then sending direct to
Suunto. Unless the device is under warranty, in which case all you'll need to pay is the shipping costs to get it to there factory in Vantaa, Finland.
One more thing, just to make sure that the device is under warranty. Was the crack on the bezel caused by impact? Should be easy to see, and if so they might charge for repairs. However plead innocence, aslong as its not blatantly obvious that you've utterly destroyed it and you should be fine

You can post a picture if you want a more detailed analasys from me. Or mail there service staff and ask there (slightly more informed) oppinion.
