dear all,
i've been using the
x10 activity mode for quite sometime and i'm really fond of it. it has been recording my runs.
however recently i noticed some huge discrepancy between the recorded activity distance on the watch itself and the downloaded data on trek manager. in most instances the actual recorded distance on the watch; when downloaded to trek manager, the same data would appear either shorter or longer by (0.01 to 0.03 km). i grew concerned when just the other day my downloaded data showed a gap of (0.13 km) that's over 100 meters already.
today i tested the watch with my car's odometer with two separate activity sessions. so far on both occassions data from the watch and the odometer seem consistent therefore rulling out the watch as faulty. i double checked. i used the ruler to trace the distance on google earth over the
gps path i just made with the car. it showed consistency. its a relief to know that the watch
gps is good.
i downloaded the exact same data onto trek manager; there the discrepancy appeared again. the data shown on trek manager is a few meters off, one showed (0.05) more, and the other (0,02) short.
the culprit is the trek manger software.
has this happened to any of you and were you able to fix this problem?
