New and Old!!

Hey everyone, I am kinda worried about the number of people facing problems with the bezels on the X10. I know mostly only those who face problems care to post on forums, I would like to know if there are people who didnt have problems with the bezel and/ or the buttons.

It seems Suunto has new bezels that do not have the gummy coating anymore. How do I tell whether a particular X10 or X10M has the new or the old bezel? Pics would really help.

i just got brand new x10 on the 23rd of september, after sending my x9 in 4 times for the same issue people are having. i can tell you that the faceplate doesnt scratch as easy and the rubber gasket doesnt expose the copper piece that it used to.

The coating is cosmetic. If you get one with the coating (mine currently has it) then wear it until it looks bad and then get suunto to send you a new one, or send in the watch for replacement.. The watch has a two year warranty, so even if you bought one of the very first ones, it is still under warranty.

got new x10m last week online in uk and it has a hard matt finish on the bezel, not rubberised so i think they have new design on stock now.

Does anyone have pictures of that can illustrate the difference between the old and new bezels?

All watches that are manufactured after October should have the new bezel (serial 940XXXXXXX) if you get an old one, just send it in for free and they will replace it...

Did you ship yours back through the website or is there another way to just mail it back to them for repair? Im in Afghanistan and its not as easy as having UPS run by to pick it up. Thanks.
