Suunto RGBM 50%?

OK, I finally got to unwrap my D6 a couple of days ago and have read the manual a couple times and played with the various settings in the computer. But one thing sticks out that is not really explained in detail in the otherwise pretty good manual. There is a setting for the RGBM algorithm that is either 100% (normal default setting) or 50%. According to the manual, 50% is "smaller RGBM effects, higher risk". That's it. No description of how setting the RGBM model to 50% affects the calculation
